However, Clinton has emerged winner in the competition against Sanders, by clinching more number of states. The election results are quite similar to what was predicted in pre-election polls.

Here’s what the pre-election polls had revealed about Super Tuesday:

Ahead of the crucial elections, a nationwide CNN/ORC poll had made quite accurate predictions. Interviewing over 1,000 Americans, the poll had emerged with a prophetic conclusion – Hillary Clinton would lead ahead of Bernie Sanders by a margin of 38 % to 55%. Interestingly, it was found that while men were equally divided in supporting both candidates, Clinton was more favoured by women and older voters.
