Well, here’s the explanation of what happened there:
- Apparently, the Russian police officer wanted to check the diplomat’s documents before allowing him into the embassy. This was to ensure the embassy’s security, so that no trespassers are can enter the premises. However, the diplomat could not immediately offer any such documentation as he was a CIA agent operating under diplomatic cover. This as been confirmed by a Russian foreign ministry spokeswoman.
- However, both the US and Russia accuse each other or harassing their respective diplomats in Moscow and Washington. This incident fuels the accusation further.
Rupert Murdoch vs. shaving foam pie
- This may sound ridiculous, but it actually happened! In 2011, as Rupert Murdoch was presenting a speech to Members of Parliament at Portcullis House in the UK, Jonnie Marbles threw a shaving foam pie at his face.
- The pie was expertly deflected by Murdoch’s then wife Wendi Deng, who became the star of the episode.
- Marbles was sentenced to six weeks of jail time, but claimed he did it to avenge Murdoch’s corruption.
