For today’s Globalo Cool Video of the Day, we go all the way to France to check out a cool new concept: vertical soccer.
Earlier, in Paris at the Hotel de Ville, performers donned harnesses and played a game of vertical soccer, which seemed like a mix between rock climbing and table football. The ball was on a rope that could move vertically, while the ball could slide horizontally on said rope. The performers then had to try to chase the ball and climb upwards in order to score against the goalkeeper. Behind the fake pitch were hard working people who acted as counterweights, to allow the players to move with ease, rather than just fall down. The game was more an art piece than a sporting event, but it was a fun representation of the game we all know and love.
