Watch How Hackers Declare War Against ISIS

Anonymous: a total mobilization on our part

The Hacktivist group Anonymous has declared war against the ISIS attackers of Paris.

In a video message the group expressed their solidarity with the victims of the Paris attacks, before announcing that it would track down “members of the Terrorist group responsible”.

Anonymous gained notoriety for conducting many successful cyber attacks in the past. Among its earlier targets are the Church of Scientology, former Alaska Governor and Candidate for Vice President Sarah Palin, as well as companies such as Amazon, PayPal, MasterCard, and Visa. The latter companies were attacked using distributed denial of service attacks (DDoS) after they had shown behavior that Anonymus perceived to be hostile to Wikileaks founder Julian Assange. Other targets of the group include government agencies of the US, Israel, Tunisia, Uganda, and others. During the Arab spring Anonymus took down the website of the ruling National Democratic Party. In 2008 it supported the Iranian Green Movement.

Many members of Anonymous have been apprehended by law enforcement in various countries around the world and currently serve prison sentences.

Anonymous declared regarding the terrorists: “We will not give up, we will not forgive, and we will do all that is necessary to end their actions.”

After the attacks on the French satirical magazine  Charlie Hebdo earlier this year, the group had also announced that they would go after the killers.
