“God protect first all other descendants and then us.”
The Yezides keep one of the world’s oldest religions alive, defined by tolerance and compassion. Despite 74 genocides, that they had to stand, they didn’t loose faith in the eternal good nature of men – a film about the surviving of the light in the darkest hour.

The last genocide shadowed the hearts of al Yezides on the 3rd of August 2014. The Islamic State attacked the region Shingal in the early morning, abducted and enslaved the mothers and daughters and executed the fathers and sons.
“Humans don’t die when they have passed, they die when they are forgotten.”
This film is dedicated to all the families having lost more than humans ever should.
