Donald Trump may have a ambitious dreams about which music he wants to play for his campaign, but sadly several artists have banned him from using their songs.

Which music artists have warned Trump to stop playing their music at his speeches?

Here’s a comprehensive list:

Queen

Queen is quite furious with Donald Trump, as the later played the rock band’s song, “We are the Champions” without acquiring due permission. In fact, Queen clearly expressed that he does not want Trump to use his music at any political rally, but Trump disregarded that and played the song for the second time at the Republican National Convention in July 2016. The rock band didn’t take that lightly, and posted this on Twitter: http://

Interestingly, Queen is not the only music band to reprimand Trump’s use of their music. There are many others.

Adele

English singer has clearly warned Trump against use of her songs, especially “Skyfall” and “Rolling in the Deep.” In fact, spokesperson Benny Tarantini clearly tod CNN, “Adele has not given permission for her music to be used for any political campaigning.” This had created quite a big furore in the earlier days of Trump’s campaigning. For more details on the Adele-Trump clash, read our story here. Aerosmith: Musician Steven Tyler from the band Aerosmith had protested Trump’s use of the rock song “Dream On,” explaining that it was not suitable to politics. Tyler was also upset about the fact that no adequate compensation was offered by the campaign, for using the song. In an article in The Huffington Post, Tyler wrote, “My intent was not to make a political statement, but to make one about the rights of my fellow music creators. Big changes are happening right now in copyright reform as a result of massive technology changes and with the way fans pay for music and consume music. hese changes can be a good thing for songwriters and up-and-coming artists, if we are paid fairly by those who make money using our work.” Are you listening, Donald Trump?

Neil Young

Donald Trump did not ask Young for permission before using his song “Rockin’ in the Free World” during a campaign, which Young did not take lightly. The singer shared an analysis about political affairs in the US, and argued why he would politically support Bernie Sanders in the campaign. Seems like using the song was quite counterproductive to Trump’s popularity!

The Rolling Stones

It seems like this band was Trump’s initial favourite for the campaign, as he played many of their songs including, “Start Me Up,” “You Can’t Always Get What You Want” and “Sympathy For The Devil.” The result? The Rolling Stones are appalled. A band spokesman told Time, “the Rolling Stones have never given permission to the Trump campaign to use their songs and have requested that they cease all use immediately.” Donald Trump has sure let the music community frazzled this political season. Whether you love Trump or hate him, at this year’s US presidential elections, you just can’t ignore him!
