American XXL billionaire Charles Koch has come out against populistic and radical Republican candidates Donald Trump and Ted Cruz.

This is a big deal because Charles Koch is a major financier of the Republican Party, and he has just trashed the front-runner, Donald Trump as well as the number two.

Charles Koch, together with his brother David are among the richest industrialists in America, worth around 43 billion dollars each. They are the CEO and VP respectively of Koch Industries, which is a major oil and manufacturing company based in Wichita, Kansas.

The Koch brothers are rumored to be allocating 900 million dollars for financing candidates this election cycle. So their opinions carry huge weight in the election.

This week, Charles Koch has spoken publicly about the election, and he is not happy with his party.

Koch said that Trump, Cruz, and Kasich are “terrible role models”, and he even said that Hillary Clinton may be a better choice for his interests than any of the Republican candidates. “We would have to believe her actions would be quite different than her rhetoric. Let me put it that way”, he said.

He even went so far to say that Bill Clinton was a better president than George W Bush “in some ways”.

Charles Koch also used his interview with ABC to speak out against Donald Trump’s support of a “registry for Muslims”. Charles Koch said it was “reminiscent of Nazi Germany…I mean that’s monstrous.”

Late last year, Donald Trump hinted at the idea of a registry for Muslims.

The amount of money that Charles Koch will put into this election is uncertain. “well, we’ll see. When we get a nominee, we will explore that.”

The Koch brothers have spent a great deal of money on elections in the past, and it seems unlikely that this would change.

But Charles Koch seems unconvinced with the rhetoric of either party. “on some of the Republican candidates before we could support them, we’d have to believe their actions.”
