The documentary branch of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences has selected 10 Documentary Short Subject contenders for the 89th Academy Awards, the famous Oscars.
- ‘Watani – My Homeland’ – co-produced by Globalo-Founder Hubertus Hoffmann and Globalo – and directed and filmed by Marcel Mettelsiefen, has made this round of 10 last from 61 movies.
- January 24th, 2017 the five nominees will be announced and the final Oscar winner February 26th in LA.
